Your Eating Habits and Metabolism Is Closely Linked
One thing that I will swear by is eating small, protein laden meals throughout the day. I have found that for boosting my metabolism eating small, frequent meals throughout the day is so much better than having 2 or 3 gigantic meals.
For one, I never feel stuffed and feel the urge to sit and vegetate for an hour straight after a meal. You don’t need to treat lunch and dinner like it is a Thanksgiving Feast.
One thing that has worked for me is to eat about 5-6 meals throughout the day at around 400-500 calories a piece. Having said that I am a natural ectomorph so I need to eat a lot of calories in a day.
NEVER go long periods of time without food. It is much better to snack on small healthy meals throughout the day and stay active than starve yourself and eat a gigantic, calorie laden meal.
From my experience, the best Metabolism boosting workout has been a combination of Strength and Interval Training. Doing interval training is more fun than standard cardio.

They really weren’t kidding when they said that breakfast is the most important part of your day. Even if you are short on time you can get a perfect metabolism boost with just a blender and a few simple ingredients.
My favorite metabolism boosting breakfast consists of putting in a blender:
- 1 Cup of Almond Milk
- 2 tbsp Non Fat Yogurt
- Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
- 1 Banana
- 2 tbsp Peanut Butter
It is a delicious shake, and keeps me full and energized until early afternoon. If you are short on time I highly suggest making your own fruit smoothies as meal replacements. Fruit is a great way to give you energy and speed up your metabolism.
One factor that is so often overlooked in boosting your metabolism is to constantly STAY HYDRATED! I really cannot stress it enough. If your body is dehydrated, it can in fact slow down your metabolism as well as limit your workouts.
I have found that I have my best workouts when I am most hydrated, and it is also a great way to ensure that you are speeding up your metabolism.
Just remember sometimes the best advice is the simplest!
They don’t make money by telling you that one of the best metabolism boosting secrets is simply staying hydrated and drinking enough water because then you wouldn’t buy there overpriced and worthless metabolism boosting pills!
